Especially for this demanding group The Ultimate Phono Amplifier has been developed.
The Ultimate Phono Amplifier is in effect an input selector followed by a phono pre-amplifier designed without compromise.

Technology

Each signal channel of The Ultimate Phono Amplifier consists of two separate phono amplifiers between which the passive RIAA equalisation takes place.
With Moving Coil (MC) phono cartridges the signal does not enter at the amplifier's input (as standard). Instead, the MC cartridge is embedded within the amplifier's circuitry. This smart configuration guarantees that the amplifier always optimally adapts itself to the cartridge.
The Ultimate Phono Amplifier is equipped with unique RIAA equalisation circuitry consisting of two separate (discrete component built) amplifier stages (per channel) which accomplish complete separation of the RIAA equalisation filter's time constants. This avoids their mutual influence and offers a much better controlled phase behaviour.
Each amplifier stage in The Ultimate Phono Amplifier is equipped with a complementary output stage. This allows the electronics to achieve a very large dynamic signal range: The MC pre-amplifier masters a maximum undistorted output signal amplitude of 8 Volts.

Components

The Ultimate Phono Amplifier employs electrical components of the utmost quality. Each part has been carefully selected on its specifications and sound quality and is incorporated only after extensive assessment.
Also the signal relays which switch between the inputs are of extremely high quality: each relay uses double gold contacts.

Power supply

In The Ultimate Phono Amplifier each amplifier stage receives its + and - DC power from a special decoupling and stabilisation circuit. This ensures that any residual power related interference or crosstalk is totally kept from degrading the audio signal.
