The main function of a connector is to make electrical connections for signal & ground. The material used for the conductors therefore is very important. Normally, brass is used here: a blend of regular copper & very regular zinc.
We have done some extra work and found better solutions for the contact pin and the ground ring. All conductive parts are made of a special conductor material coated with copper, silver and 24 Carat gold, so oxidation is almost impossible and the conductivity is maintained over a long period of use. For optimal contact care we recommend our The SOLUTION contact fluid.
The centre pin has a cut in the centre to give extra spring action in the female RCA connector and to help you clean the contacts by rotating the connector when making a first contact.
The internal insulation is made of Teflon. A must for a stable centre position of the centre pin after soldering. Also the ground ring has extra springs.
The cable clamp is made of phosphor bronze to have a mechanical strong part in the connector outlet. The connectors come with "van den Hul" printing and for channel identification each connector has a red or blue ring.
