The SOURCE HYBRID (Halogen Free)
 It is always a challenge to design a product where the quality and the price are very opposite in the positive sense.
This is the case with our The SOURCE HYBRID coaxial interconnect; a cable with all the advanced technology on board to make the product very successful.
The middle orange jacket is made of our HULLIFLEX ® 3 with the type printing on each 25 cm. (10") to make cutting of specific lengths easy. The external diameter is 7.0 mm.
The shielding is made of 216 dense and very pure silver coated Matched Crystal (MC) OFC copper strands with underneath a Linear Structured Carbon ® (LSC) saturated foil; this to further close The SOURCE HYBRID against spurious HF-signals and to dramatically improve the signal quality.
The core insulation is made of foamed PE to obtain a very low dielectric constant. This directly results into a low capacitive load. For The SOURCE HYBRID this is 86 pF/meter; a low value!
The technical knowledge to produce the centre-conductor is directly obtained from our know-how collected during the production of The REVELATION HYBRID and The SECOND ®:
The centre conductor consists of 40 x 0.12 mm. very pure silver coated Matched Crystal (MC) OFC copper strands with an extra LSC coating; this again to further improve the signal quality.
The resistance of the centre conductor is 3.8 Ohm/100 meter.
And the shielding has a value of just 0.71 Ohm/100 meter !
This low value reduces any noise signal buildup in complex grounding situations.
Our aim with The SOURCE HYBRID is to provide a very good interconnect for an affordable price; a so called: “starter”.
Delivery conditions: 100 meter reels packed in a box with external dimensions in mm.: 310 x 310 x 290 with a total shipping weight of 6.1 kg.
In our program we also provide premanufactured lengths of The SOURCE HYBRID equipped with our gold high quality RCA connectors type C - 7.3. A very nice combination.
As such The SOURCE HYBRID is available in 60 cm., 80 cm., 1.0, 1.2 and 1.5 meter pairs packed in a rigid and cosmetically nice box, as well as in six lead packed sets for AV applications with RCA (unbalanced) connectors in 0.6, 0.8, 1.0, 1.2 and 1.5 m. lengths.
